About Us

websiteginnyandclientWest Mont is a Helena, Montana 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that has been caring for Montanans since 1973. Over the years, we have grown into a comprehensive organization focused on providing a broad range of services for people with developmental disabilities.
The West Mont Way…
  • Create opportunities and choices that empower people…
  • Provide a safe, comfortable home…
  • Offer meaningful and fulfilling work…
  • Participate actively in our community…
West Mont operates 13-residential facilities and 4-vocational centers that provide job training and employment in a variety of work environments. Other services include respite, nursing care, and social and recreational activities. West Mont has had a big impact on the Helena community both through broadening the understanding about the abilities of people with special needs and expanding services to meet their changing needs. We have maintained our strong commitment to developing and providing service options to enable those with disabilities to reach their maximum potential.
West Mont is funded in part by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services Developmental Disabilities Division. With over 185 employees, we are one of Helena’s larger non-governmental employers.
