Fundraising

Although West Mont is funded in part by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (Developmental Disabilities Division), many of our programs are supported by charitable donations. Without these on-going contributions, we would not be able to provide some of the recreational, social, and other activities for individuals in our programs.

The Caldwell House

West Mont recently began a capital campaign to build a new healthcare facility for the developmentally disabled. The Caldwell House will provide compassionate and skilled nursing care for medically fragile or terminally ill individuals with disabilities. Currently no healthcare facility exists for them in our community and their only options are an institution or nursing home, yet most are not senior citizens. The Caldwell House will:

  • Provide a healthy, safe and therapeutic environment for a very vulnerable segment of our population
  • Have a medical staff specifically trained to care for people with disabilities
  • Be the 1st healthcare facility of its type built in Montana
  • Fill a critical void in the community

The Caldwell House is named in honor and memory of Ron Caldwell, former President/CEO of West Mont, who passed away unexpectedly in 2008. West Mont must build and furnish this new facility however, once built the actual operations will be partially funded by the Developmental Disabilities Division of the State of Montana. West Mont has purchased the land and hopes to break ground in 2010 and open in 2011. Your donation can help The Caldwell House become a reality.
